Henriette DeLille : ウィキペディア英語版
Henriette DeLille

Venerable Henriette DeLille (1813-1862) was an American nun who founded the Roman Catholic order of the Sisters of the Holy Family in New Orleans, which was composed of free women of color. The order provided nursing care and a home for orphans, later establishing schools as well.〔(Glatz, Carol. "Pope brings African-American foundress one step closer to sainthood", ''Catholic News Service'', March 29, 2010 )〕
In 1988 the order formally opened the cause with the Holy See of the canonization of Henriette DeLille. She was declared to be Venerable in 2010 by Pope Benedict XVI.
